Weekend catch up with Ben & Jiwon

This weekend we visited Boscombe in Bournemouth to catch up with Ben & Jiwon (remember them?). Well they are now living in the UK so we loaded the car up with beer (for Ben) & local bakery bread (Jiwon, she is obsessed with bread, I had promised to make her some but was ill the Friday before we went so we picked up some from the fantastic Old Farmhouse Bakery in Steventon, which was the next best thing). Jiwon had prepared what can only be described as a Korean feast from scratch (also featuring hand made sushi (I meant to take a photo but I was too busy eating) then we went for a stroll along Boscombe sea front.

There were some lovely beach huts just behind the promenade, I thought they looked awesome but Jam wasn’t a fan & had a little rant about how much he didn’t like them & how expensive they were. But imagine on a cold day out of season you could sit there with your tea/whisky and knitting. Plus they were lovely colours.

There were quite a few people having a stroll, I ventured onto the sand to see if I could find any shells, sadly all of them were broken, but I did find this chap (I like them when they are like this, its when they turn white and start having designs on your chips I’m less keen)

And finally a watery sun broke through. What a lovely day
